Hi Fran…We were wondering where you are and what you are doing? How is the adjustment to the motorhome coming along?
We belong to a trailering club called Jolly Good Sams and once a month we meet at a different RV campsite from Sunday to Thursday. It is the first retiree club of Texas. Of course there are lots of clubs out there and their support and comradery is wonderful. You can check with any RV campsite and ask them which trailer clubs hold rallies at their site.
Haven’t left yet Karen. Still prepping for the journey and finishing up some business. Will likely be heading to Colorado this Friday or Saturday. Slow journey to the Northwest to spend time with my family. As for what I am doing… I’m traveling on blind faith that the path will open itself up to me. I’ve got lots of ideas, and soon I will have plenty of time to see where they lead. Stay tuned.
Morning, You parked behind me at Watkins Glen. I was sorry to see you leave so soon. The area is worth at least a weeks stay. We stayed a month there and just did have time to see everything. Safe travels.
Hi John. Did we meet while I was there? I met several nice folks in that park. I really hated to leave so quickly too. I’ll most definitely be back when I have more time to explore. Thanks for the note.
I’ve enjoyed reading of your journey and I see by your calendar that you were in New England (my home state of CT), and now are in the DC/VA area, but I don’t find any newly posted entries in your blog. Am I missing them, or have you not had time to keep it up?
My hubby and I spent five months on the road in 1999, for our 40th anniversary year, and fully know the freedom, of which you write. Closer to Heaven? Absolutely. So, vicariously, I’d love to read more. Blessings from Florida.
Hello Judy. I’m in Washington DC at this very moment as a matter of fact. Trying to get a little work done while waiting for the sun to come out from behind the heavy clouds. I’ll always lag a bit behind on my blog posts, and sometimes more than others. Blogging takes far more time (and bandwith) than most would imagine, and I’ve been moving at a pretty fast pace the last few weeks trying to see as much as I can while there’s still a bit of color. The post I’m working on now will take us through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Watch for it as the end of the week.
Did we meet in Florida while I was there? I’ll be back down that way in a month or so. Where are you?

Have fun!

If you make it to South Dakota, let me know! I’m a Texan that just moved to the state.
Most likely next August. Stay tuned and send me a note!
Sounds so relaxing- photos so gorgeous! (Must have a good camera and some expereince- ha)
Yeah… a little bit of experience.
Thanks Lou.
